About Merji
Hi, I'm Khushal and I built Merji.
Most of us have to fix a PDF every few weeks: a form photo that must be under 50 KB, a bank statement to merge, an Aadhaar copy to send. The usual answer is to upload it to a website and hope for the best. I didn't like that, so I built Merji to do the work on your own device instead.
Your files never leave your phone or computer. There's no upload and no account needed, and it keeps working with the internet off.
What I won't compromise on
- The tools stay free.
- Your files never go to a server, mine or anyone else's.
How it works
When you open Merji, your browser downloads the tools themselves. From then on, merging, compressing, converting and the rest happen inside your browser, using your own device. Your file is read from where it already is, changed there, and saved back there.
After your first visit Merji is saved on your device, so the tools open and run with no internet at all. You can type what you want in plain words, like “merge and compress to 200 KB”, or pick a tool from the full list.
You don't have to take this on trust. Every page shows a live count of what has been uploaded, and you can check it yourself in a couple of minutes.
