Questions
Do my files get uploaded?
No. Merging happens inside your browser, so your files never leave your device. You can watch the network tab and see for yourself.
How do I change the order?
Drag the handle on any file, or focus it and use the arrow keys. Files are combined from top to bottom.
Is there a limit on size or number?
Up to 50 MB per file, 50 files at once, and 250 MB in total.
Will the text still be selectable?
Yes. Pages are copied across as they are, so text, links and quality are untouched.
Can I merge a password-protected PDF?
Not while it's locked. Remove the password in Protect / Unlock PDF, then add the unlocked file here. A PDF that only blocks printing or copying merges as it is, and the merged file doesn't keep that block.
Are bookmarks kept?
No. Bookmarks are dropped, and fillable form fields may stop being fillable. Links to other pages and to websites keep working, and everything you can see on the page is kept.
