Questions

Do my files get uploaded?
No. Both PDFs are read and compared inside your browser, so they never leave your device. You can watch the network tab and see for yourself.
What does it compare?
The text, line by line. It shows which lines were added, removed or changed, and highlights the exact words that differ in a changed line.
Does it compare images or layout?
No. It compares the text only. Changes to pictures, fonts, spacing and layout aren't shown.
Can it compare scanned PDFs?
Not directly, because a scan has no text to read. Run each scan through the OCR tool first to make it searchable, then compare.
Which file is which?
The first PDF you add is the original and the second is the changed one. Drag them to swap which is which.
Can I save the differences?
Yes. You get a plain-text list of every change, with page numbers, to download and keep.
