How does it work?
Paste the portal's message (like '200x230 pixels, JPG, 20–50 KB'). Merji reads the size, dimensions and format from it, shows you what it'll do, then resizes or compresses your file to match.
Do my files get uploaded?
No. The rule is read and your file is fixed inside your browser; nothing is uploaded.
What can it read?
Size limits (KB/MB, ranges and maximums), pixel dimensions (and cm/mm), the allowed format (JPG, PNG, PDF) and page limits. If it can't find a rule, it tells you.
What if it can't hit the exact size?
It gets as close as it can while staying readable and tells you the result, so you're never handed a blurry file by surprise.
It wants PDF but I have a photo (or the other way round)?
Merji converts it — a photo becomes a PDF, or a PDF's first page becomes a JPG — then sizes it to match.
