Questions
Do my files get uploaded?
No. The PDF is rebuilt inside your browser; nothing is uploaded, even when it's damaged.
What does it actually do?
First it rebuilds the PDF's internal structure, which fixes most files that won't open while keeping the text selectable. If the file is too broken for that, it recovers each page as a picture instead.
Will I lose anything?
The rebuild keeps everything. The picture-recovery fallback keeps how the pages look but makes the text no longer selectable — Merji tells you which one it used.
My PDF is password-protected. Can it repair that?
Unlock it first with the Unlock tool, then repair the result. Repair doesn't open locked files.
